How Can Post Nasal Drip And Sinusitis Be Treated?

I have had Post Nasal drip all my life and now just lately I have had about a 3 week bout with Exaserbated sinusitis and almost daily horrible smells in my nose and my wife says my breath is also smelling too. Now I use the Neil Med Sinus rinse sometimes 1 or 2 x a day or sometimes every other day but it doesn t help too much for long. the mucus that comes out is sometimes green but not a lot comes out. when I sniff it gurgles but when I try to blow it out there is nothing but very little coming out. I m stumped but I would like your thoughts on this matter.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

As per your history you seems to have chronic sinusitis, for that you need first have a CT scan of your sinuses done.
You may also need a course of antibiotics, because of less information about your medical history we cannot provide you the one. So you need to consult a ENT specialist for the same.

You can have the hot steam inhalations which may make it easy to expell the mucus from your sinus.

Hope the answer to your query write us back in case you need any medical help.

Regards
Dr Muzaffar Hussain Parray.
