Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had a post nasal drip (without a runny nose) and coughing for about 13 months. The condition gets worse at night. I ve been to my MD twice, who believes it s allergy related and recommended Allegra 180mg twice a day. It helps, but the situation persists. Is there another possible cause or do you have another medical recommendation? Thank you.
Possible surgical cause as turbinate hypertrophy giving hypersecretion of post nasal region or else.
Should be addressed to expert ENT specialist for further check-up and care because unless the diagnosis is made, management guidelines cannot be figured out here.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
