How Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed?

Hi , I ve just got a couple of things I am looking to clear up and maybe you can help! I have been a bit worried that I am pregnant lately (that s not something I want) I am on birth control and have been and use condoms every time , for a while I was on a medication for pneumonia that I got. I ve always struggled with some ibs and constipation but it went away for a while , about a week before my expected period , my stomach started to feel odd. I have lost five pounds and I assumed I just felt weird because my period was coming, my period did come on time and lasted about 3-4 days, after my period the feeling in my stomach came back and is still bothering me , yesterday I purchased two pregnancy tests and both came back negative. Do you think I am just struggling with some constipation and gas or do you think I should be starting to worry ! Thanks , I appreciate your help !

Hi..
Thanks for query inHCM,
As you told 1 week ago you got your periods,& you did pregnancy test yesterday
x2 tests --ve means you are not pregnant, when you miss your period then
do pregnancy test,now no need to do.You have pain abdomen-stomach before period coming ,it is known as Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)-- It is physical and emotional symptoms that occur in the one to two weeks before a woman's period. Symptoms often vary between women and resolve around the start of bleeding. Common symptoms include acne, tender breasts, bloating, feeling tired, irritability, and mood changes.Some women(3-8%) get PMS which require no treatment,no need to worry, ,only panadol tab or ibuprofen tab(after food) can be taken if pain -make sure u do not have peptic/stomach ulcer .follow healthy life style;
drinking plenty of fluids to ease abdominal bloating
eating a balanced diet to improve your overall health and energy level, which means eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and reducing your intake of sugar, salt, caffeine, and alcohol
taking supplements, such as folic acid, vitamin B-6, calcium, and magnesium to reduce cramps and mood swings
sleeping at least 8 hours per night to reduce fatigue
exercising to decrease bloating and improve your mental health
reducing stress, such as through exercising and reading
going to cognitive behavioral therapy.
I hope you got the answer
Regards,
Dr Md.Ibrar
