How Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed?

I was taking the risperdol shot & recently stopped in December. I missed my period on the 23rd. And never had a period in january either. February my period came on the 5th & i was having sexual intercourse with my bf on the 10th-16th. March 11th i noticed i missed my period & i took a test on March 15th & the test said negative. Ive been having pregnancy symptoms but the test was negative. A nurse told me to wait a week and take another test but i want to draw blood so it can be accurate. I just want to know if im pregnant or maybe the risperdol is causing this? Should i take another test? Nov.2016- (.) 23rd Dec.2016-no period Jan.2017-no period Feb.2017- (.) 5th Mar.2017-no period

Hi, I think you can do a blood test for pregnancy that is called as serum bhcg test. This will confirm if you are pregnant or not. If it is negative, it can be a side effect of risperdol. But you should get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist to rule out other causes. Get a thyroid profile and a ultrasound done to see if there is any other problem. You can take some medicines like meprate or deviry for inducing periods. Hope I have answered your question.
