Thanks for contacting with your health concern.
1. As you are suffering from PCOD along with structural anomaly [blocked fallopian tube], with
irregular periods and most importantly trying to get pregnant, thus it is best to consult an OBG/GYN doctor and remain under her regular supervision, because of the following reasons:
i. The problem with having irregular periods is that you won't know if you are pregnant since you don't know when to expect your periods.
ii. Irregular periods means that you are ovulating Irregularly but not conceiving and due to this STRESS there is further delay in ovulation so the best thing is to remain calm/relax as far as possible and see a gynecologist and try to determine the reason for irregular periods.
iii. Treatment of irregular periods varies according to age [from lifestyle changes to
hormonal therapy] and since you are of childbearing age [20-40 years] thus following is the approach:
i. P.V. examination and
ultrasound to rule out abnormalities of the uterus.
ii. Hb%, WBC,
bleeding disorder profile, serum thyroid profile.
PS. During the investigation, semen report of the husband must be seen before invasive investigation in the wife is advised.
2. It will take time and patience but is not impossible, one has to be proactive.
PS. an HPT [home
pregnancy test] can be done to detect the hormone HCG in urine [found only during pregnancy], and although missed periods is one cause other symptoms which you can see yourself at home of early pregnancy are tender, swollen breasts, nausea with or without
vomiting,
frequent urination, fatigue.
