How Can Pressure In The Sinus Be Treated?

What do you do to relieve sinus pressure due to needing surgery? I do not have insurance and nothing is helping with the pain. The pain is so bad at times usually at night that I just want to pull my hair out or rip the right side of my head off. The Dr. says that it is something to do with my septem. (Sorry not sure of the spelling.) And what can this do to your brain?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per query you have symptoms of pressure in the sinus it seems that chronic sinusitis. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan of sinuses and MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephedrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room. You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline. Do warm compresses around nostrils.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
