Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My uncle is 60 years old who was diagnosed as advanced prostate cancer in October 2017. He was removed the part of this cancer and testicle. He has been taking the medicines that restrain androgen. He has not been found metastases by now. What late treatments can he do now? Are there some medicines that are good for him to take now? Can you please give some suggestions for him? Thank you very much for your help! Look forward to your reply.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Anti-hormone treatment seems like the right way to go. Sometimes radioactive seeds are inserted in the prostate, but I am not sure your uncle qualifies for this.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
