Hi there,

Diprovate G contains both a steroid and an antibiotic. If your psoriasis is controlled fairly well, I would recommend that you convert to a plain steroid. Antibiotics are usually for acute flares, or if there is superimposed bacterial infection. It is not meant for prolonged use, because the portion that is actually controlling the psoriasis is the steroid itself.

You can go for the same steroid that was in Diprovate, which is betamethasone, also sold under the name Betnovate. Other options to try are clobetasone, or mometasone, which are all plain steroids.

Hope this helps you, please let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,
Dr. Teh
