Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 17 month old had a low grade fever for 3 days, hardly ate or drank. On the fourth day she had no fever and acted like she felt better also was eating and drinking but has a pink rash that came on this fourth day.. It s very light not all over her body. She has been sleeping a TON sense her fever went away and still cranky. The doctor told me to keep on eye on her and if her fever comes back or if her rash gets worse to call. I m just worried because she is sleeping so much and is still so cranky.
hi as your child is having a rash after her fever has subsided and is also cranky, just show him to your doctor once as we can decide whether it's a simple viral rash or something serious like a dengue rash in which case a simple blood test may be required. and don't wait if ur child is not passing urine or having red dots over his body, show him immediately. hope this knowledge doesn't alarm you but helps you in taking a right decision.
