How Can Recurrent Cold And Fever In A Child Be Treated?

Hi Sir/Mam, My son is 4.11 months old weighing 17 kg.He had cough cold n 103 temp for around 5 days.after five days of fever doc prescribed mox 250 5 ml *3 and tus q dx syrup.His fever subsided on day 7 but cold n cough continue.so the doc advised to give cheating syrup.From yesterday I.e day 12 his nose has started flowing and also slight fever there.So please advise whether I shall re do the initial treatment or any other medicine like clampkid or maxtra will help???Thank you!!

Hi,

It is all due to persistent infection so continue the medication as the doctor prescribed.

To avoid it further keep him clean, in good hygiene, feed her soup, juices to ensure good immunity and feed her boiled water.

There is nothing to worry he will relieve in a few days.

Remember in children, hygiene and diet have more role for health than drugs.
