Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You need to understand that typhoid is an infection. And an infection can recur. Usually the resistance to infection develops to one type of bacteria.
But one can always develop another infection from the other bacteria that also cause typhoid. So one needs to take care of how a possible infection can recur and avoid the possible sources of infection and use clean water and sanitary areas. As for the antibiotic, yes it can help with the current infection. However, as explained above, it cannot assure absence of recurrence.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
