How Can Recurrent Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

I have had off and on yeast infections the past 6 months. Lately it has been reacurring after I have sex. I went to the doctor and they said I tested positive for yeast and they gave me the one dose of fluconazole and it still hasn t gone away. I even tried the 1 day and 3 day monistat. It s really itchy and nothing helps!

Hi I think you need some antibiotic like a combination of cefixime and ornidazole for 10 to 14 days along with antifungal treatment. Also you may need a long course of antifungal drugs. You should also use a vaginal pessary of antibiotic and antifungal drugs like Clinton forte for 7 nights. Hope it helps.
