How Can Recurring Fever In An Infant Be Treated?

Hi, My kid 1.6 years old, having fever for past two days. And we are using Paracetamol susp. 120 since last two days (dosage: 5ml every 5 hours ). If we did not use the syrup more than 8 hours, the fever is back. And during this time kid is not taking food properly. Apart from fever no other symptons found. could you please suggest? Thank you!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A viral infection may be present, viral infections are more common than bacterial infections.

A fever may be present for the first few days, decreasing only when medication is used.
In some cases, the fever is the only initial symptom, you would need to monitor for additional symptoms.

The appetite would return when she or he feels better but fluids are important. Even if not using a lot of fluids at a time, need to take sips.
