Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My sister is on warfarin and has runny nose most of the time. She is 75 years old She took Bendryl the last two nights which dried up the nose but her eyes are red today. She had a cataract operation a month ago and wondering if the Bendryl dried up her nose and her eyes? what should she do to prevent this constantly recurrence of runny nose. Thank you.
I think her runny nose is a sign of possible allergic rhinitis. Please check it out with allergy specialist first to determine the right cause, and treat it adequately.
Yes, Benadryl dried up as it is an antihistamine and works fine in allergy conditions as in case of your sister.
Discuss it further with an allergy specialist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
