General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your son seem to be related to mononucleosis.

This is a viral infection so there is jobs need for antibiotics.

I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine to treat the itching.

I also recommend using Tylenol in case of fever.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
