How Can Red Spots Be Treated?

hello, Background : hot oil came in contact with some portion of my arms during cooking. Thee were few red spots. April 16th, I went to see my doctor for some red spots, burning/tingling sensation that spread out On both arms. Doctors gave me ointment taro mupirocin usp 2% and oral antibacterial meds(ran out was not able to take note the actual name.). Red spots dried out after 4 days, looked better but I ran out of both meds. On the 5th day, more rashes red spots spread in my arms all burning/tingly not itchy. Doctor gave me the same ointment and apo sulfatrim ds 800/160 mg, after 2 days, the red spots rashes spread out more on my arms and felt burning sensation that kept me awake overnight, went to see the doctor today. She mentioned this is a normal side effects, the apo sulfatrim is slow but good antibacterial. She advised me to finished the medications but tonight it is still burning/tingly and red spots seems to spread. Should I continue my meds and walk over the emergency room tomorrow. Pls. Advise, aside from the uncomfortable sensation it is not visually pleasing as well. I have to wear long sleeves to hide the red spots. Thank you, Nory
