How Can Rheumatoid Arthritis Be Treated?

hi I am suffering from RA i am taking hcqs 200mg everyday and folvite and folitrax once in a week. i am facing pains sometimes do i need to take saaz-ds, as I am only 28years I dont wanted to take steroid, is Saaz-Ds is a steroid? Please answer Thank you!

Hi. Rheumatoid arthritis is a commonly seen disease these days.

Your tablet regimen is perfectly fine and will help you in the long term.

Methotrexate, folic acid and Hydroxychloroquine are the first line treatment for your condition. If your doctor feels Saaz(Sulfasalazine) to be added then it is good. Sulfasalazine is not a steroid but a disease modifying Rheumatoid Arthritis drug. It helps in halting your disease progression and relief from pain.
