I have ringworm infecrion for a year. How can I treat I already used several tablets and creams like miconozole and clotrimozoke. I am frustated because if this. Now am using dettol. Can dettol cure ring worm. Please suggest a best solution for ringworm
Hello, Thanks for the query. I have gone through your short description and I can understand your concerns.
Ring worms are quite common among general population. You dont need to worry regarding this as it can be cured completely with proper treatment.
I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get the following things done:- (1)- You can use topical antifungals. Since response with clotrimazole is poor,you can use tolnaftate. (2)- Oral antifungals may be needed for long term. Fluconazole once a week for six weeks is preffered. (3)- For itching you can use antihistamines like hydroxyzine. (4)- Check your blood sugar level to rule out diabetes which can be a cause of recurrent ring worm infection.
Dettol is not effective for ring worm.
