General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Clotrimazole ( surfaz sn) is not effective in all fungal infections. I would suggest more effective topical anti fungal creams like miconazole or terbinafine ( lamisil ) for local application. You can also use ketoconazole powder or soap. If there is no improvement then I would suggest prescription oral anti fungal agents like fluconazole. This can be taken 150 mg once weekly for 1 month.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
