Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes please. My daughter has ringworm - new onset of ~2 weeks from a rescue kitten who was infected. She has had 5 spots now that keep appearing on her body (not scalp or groin or face). We are treating with OT antifungal cream which helps control sites. However, as she keeps getting new sites, should she go on oral medication?
Hello Dear. Ask your daughter to apply candid cream or ketoconazole cream for a month. Also take tablet cetrizine 2 or 3 times a day to control itching. Tablet fluconazole 150 mg has to be taken once a week for three weeks. Also not allow sweat to accumulate in the area and keep it dry.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
