hello gud afternoon , i would like to seek an advice , i have a runny nose, a bit itchy on my throat. i m taking nasathera for cold, can i take antibiotic and medicine for my throat? i m also taking a maintenance of montelukast zykast for my allergy because i have an asthma. hope you can help me. thank you and God bless\
Hello, Thank you for your query. It seems that you have a mild case of sore throat and a cold. Home remedies should suffice.
I recommend: - Drink warm fluids and sips throughout the day. Avoid anything cold - gargle with salt water and rinse your mouth after every meal. - take a vitamin c supplement 500 mg twice a day for 2 weeks ( morning and noon after meals) -if your running nose has eased up , stop nasathera - do steam inhalation with a few drops of eucalyptus oil . you can even put a few drops of this oil on a piece of cotton and leave it by your bed. - when you sleep , cover your ears and throat . if you cough while going to bed, wear a face mask to breath in moist air or use a humidifier in the room.
