How Can Scabies Be Treated?
the question is how to treat scabies on the skin effectively, my GP isn t sure but has doubts. I ve used Permethrin the itching is on the hands and it started between the fingers and now both hands. I ve started to itch in my hair too I don t know if its paranoia. I also need to know how to clean the house and items so it doesn t remain or come back infecting others.

Scabies treatment is very effective with Permethrin as long as you use it as recommended. You should use it all over your body but not on face and head, you should use it at the area close to the nails so you make sure you cover as much skin as possible. All the people that live with you need to start treatment in the same time, even if they don't have symptoms. After applying Permethrin you need to wear new clothes (washed) and every one in the family the save, was the rest of the clothes, bedding and bring out to the sun the mattress. The difficulty with scabies treatment is that everyone needs to be treated and everything needs to be washed and mattress brought out. With this treatment and care most of the cases will be fine. Scabies does not affect the scalp so if you scalp is itching than it is likely it is due to anxiety you have or you need to have someone check if there are other reasons like lice or yeast infection in the head or allergies.
