How Can Scalp Dermatitis Be Treated?

Hi, I have been diagnosed with scalp dermatitis. My scalp is very dry and crusty on the right side and my hair there has stopped growing hence very thin hair and bald patches. I would like to know if my hair is likely to grow after the treatment is done? Thanks.

Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. I recommend alternate between using your regular shampoo and a medicated dandruff shampoo. Use topical corticosteroids when the seborrheic dermatitis is actively flaring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
