How Can Scars And Pus Around A Previously Infected Area On The Leg Be Treated?
hi I recently been discharged from a hospital 2 weeks ago from chicken pox or something like a staph infection or follucilitis, my skin and body was getting better and I have been following the routine of being very clean and hygenic in every area no matter what but a week ago my leg which was once infected with pus continuously coming out was fully healed but spots started creating a ring around the scar and pus is now coming out and previous spots are coming out again in the same area it was once infected.
It looks like that the soft tissue in your leg has again infected. It may require a debridement of the wound followed by adequate antibiotic support. Please meet a surgeon for physical examination of the wound and management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
