How Can Sensory Processing Disorder Be Treated?
my daughter has a sensory processing disorder. We watched the Nutcracker last weekend and she felt miserable. they had strobe lights but her discomfort seemed to start before that. We have tickets for an upcoming play and I don t want a repeat of that for her. do you know, if she covers her eyes, would that be enough protection from strobe lights? are there other aspects of theater performances we should attend to?

It would be best to use an eye cover while in theater. If she is sensitive to sounds using earplugs can also help. That being said, being in a crowd can also trigger symptoms in children with sensory processing disorder.
