How Can Severe OCD Be Treated?

My wife has severe OCD with obsessive thoughts and rituals. It is so bad our lives are not normal. We live secluded and I am constantly being told what to do for cleanliness sake. I have gone once for counseling but she will not come. I am at wits end and loosing it. I have read all about the disorder and am very understanding, but honestly do not know what to do anymore. I get the blame for causing her thinking problems. We have God in our life and she knows that her thinking and behavior is not what God wants. Now she is paralyzed to not go near rooms I put electronic bug repellers because she thinks they re contaminated. I need help myself and my wife is getting worse. What should I do?

Hi,

You should definitely consult a psychiatrist because she has severe OCD and if it is not treated, then she can develop psychosis. I would suggest Tab. Qusel and Tab. Serta. But still consult a psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
