Hello, last week my skin wasn t perfect but it was smooth and i only had about 3 pimples. As of now, my whole face is covered in acne and like every night, i wash my face with baking soda and then i apply vapor rub. It hasn t worked at all and i am starting to get more acne on my hairline . Please help, i do NOT want to go back to school tomorrow with a face covered with acne. And no, it is not puberty because i already went through it, i am currently in high school .
As per your complaint pimples can occur due to causes like clogged pores, oily skin, hormonal imbalances, bacterial infection, inflammation, excess sun exposure etc.
You should consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to wash your face with a Salicylic acid containing facewash. Apply a topical ointment containing Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide. Apply retinoids like Adapalene gel in a thin layer on pimples at night time. Do cool compresses over the face. Exfoliate your face twice a week to unclog the pores and remove dead skin. You can also apply a sunscreen lotion when exposed to the sun.
Oral medication like antibiotics like Clindamycin or Minocycline and retinoid like Isotretinoin can also be advised. Avoid oily food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
