How Can Severe Anxiety And Delusion Be Treated?

my mom is in palliative at home care and her condition is rapidly declining due to severe congestive heart failure. we have used Ativan for the past two days and nights to combat extreme anxiety, however it seems to have made her delusional. what are our options at this time? thanks

Hello,

You have mentioned that your mother has developed congestive heart failure. Congestive heart failure can cause severe electrolyte disturbance s which may lead to delusional symptoms. Ativan is not going to help. You need to hospitalize her as soon as possible as this condition is life threatening.
