Hi, I have been feeling absolutely horrible lately, the worst anxiety I’ve ever had, feeling nauseous to the point of dry reaching etc. I think I have pinpointed it down to being the fact I abruptly stopped taking Zoloft which I have been otherwise taking for 4 years. I have now for a few days made sure 100% taking it everyday, when will it begin to start working again?
Medication should never be stopped by own. You have taken sertraline for a long time. But as you have anxiety attack again behavioral counseling, also needed in your case by a psychiatrist. Short term benzodiazepine course like alprazolam for three months can be prescribed. Sertraline group drug like fluoxetine started again if needed. Yoga, meditation also beneficial.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
