How Can Severe Bruising On The Head Be Treated?

I fell and hit the top right side of my head on a wall about ten days ago. About a day and a half later bruising started to appear around both eyes and over the bridge of my nose. My bruising has become more severe as the days have passed. I do not hurt or feel unusual in any way. I am just wondering if this is normal for the bruising to still be severe this long after the incident?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your bruising is in healing stage, it is not severe. Take extra precautions for faster healing as:
• Keep the area clean with antiseptic liquids
• Apply aloe vera gel 3 to 4 times a day
• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight
• Maintain hydration and consume balanced diet for healing

Certain cases may require antibiotics or anti-inflammatory agents but without checking one cannot recommend them, else you can upload a high resolution photograph of the same and further guidance can be managed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
