How Can Severe Cough Due To Flu Be Treated?

I developed the flu and as a result I have an extremely strong cough. Every time I cough which is every few minutes I feel that my head will explode. I know that it is a protective reflex and it is very important but can very frequent, extremely strong coughing due to the flu cause any type of injury to the brain ?. There is pressure and pain in my head all the time because of the coughing. Should I worry about this ?

Hai.as such cough can cause intr abdominal, and intrathoracic pressure.
If it is a severe cough as in ur case u can have a chance of raised intracranial pressure, but the duration is very less.
U can try for centrally acting cough suppressants like morphine or codiene.
Codienee is most commonly used to suppress the cough in such cases.
Ur strong cough is the reason to cause headache.
Take an advice of the chestcphysician.
Don5 worry.take care
