How Can Severe Cramps And Bloating In The Abdomen Be Treated?

I am have sever cramps with a hard blotted stomach. I have a history of diverticulitis which I manage with fiber and stool softener medication. I have been taking both for the past day and a half. Things are moving VERY slowly. My stools are dark and narrow and very limited. If I keep on this course will things eventually start moving again more regularly or do I need an antibiotic. It s after hours and I don,t want to go sit at UC given how uncomfortable I am. You feedback is welcomed and appreciated... CPS

As per the description, this sounds to be intestine colic from minor to moderate infection possibly.
I recommend strict dietary measures to be followed with proton pump inhibitor as Omeprazole or else, anti spasmodic medicine as Dicyclomine or Drotaverine. Observe the condition for next 48 hours and later if required can have opinion for antibiotic later on, not at this juncture.
