My 47 yer old Down Syndrome daughter was hospitalized and the diagnosis was E-Coli, the second episode in 3 year was very ill and in the hospital for 4 days each time. this last time episode came on suddenly without any symptons, Dx was severe cystitis. What to do a this point. She is allergic to most of the antibiotics---used Furosamine IV both times. Any suggestions on how to prevent this again?????
e coli is chronic and easily develop resistance cystoscopy is to be done and urine culture and sensitivity is to be done drink more water and takealcasol twice daily for for ten days.take most effective antibiotic recomanded in culture.
