Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a grandson who had a bad day at school and wound up threatening to kill himself. The staff at school had him to write it down on paper that he wanted to kill himself. Is that a way to help him? It sounds like a really bad idea to me and I am pretty upset about it. Were they correct to do this? He is 9 yrs old. My email is YYYY@YYYY thx
I don't think this helps him but just relives the staff from responsibility or bad interpretation of accident. He needs help from a psychologist. His parents should stay close to him for support.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
