How Can Severe Earache Be Treated?

Pain in my ear, sometimes severe, can’t get it to clear. Hesitant to see my doctor as I have drug allergies to antibiotics. My temperature has been dropping and then coming back up for 2 days now. When it drops my hands and legs are extremely cold, and I’m rarely cold. I take gabapentin and Duloxetine for peripheral neuropathy.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Ear ache is likely to be due to ear infection. You need to consult your ENT specialist for clinical assessment and prescription of antibiotic. The antibiotics to which you are allergic can be avoided.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further
