my child had the flu for the past 4 days and was finally feeling better today. In the middle of the night, she has woken up and complaining of severe ear pain in one ear. The Doctor checked her ears 2 days ago and did not see any signs of an infection. should i give her motrin and she how she does? or is this in indication of something else?

Hello,

If it is ASOM (Acute Suppurative Otitis Media), you will have to be treated with antibiotics but before that I prefer you to get an ENT examination done to get started with any antibiotics to treat the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
