Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Over the last several months I have had more trouble than normal recovering after exercise... instead of brief fatigue and then ok after half hour, I can sometimes be wiped out and weak for the rest of the day.... and my exercising has decreased from full out to more moderate. ( weights, cardio/low impact like elliptical or bike). Before having kids, I was a rehab therapist (SLP) and my mind is wondering about muscle disorders since it is so different than my previous typical physical response. What tips do you have on beginning a search?
That's a good question. The symptoms you have mentioned may be seen with low energy levels, low calorie intake, or low metabolism.
However, it is also possible for some muscle disorders, digestion problems, or problems with metabolism that can cause some fatigue. Lack of sleep can cause this as well.
It would be a good idea to start with searches related to your symptoms and to look at possible diseases or causes for fatigue. Another simple and often missed cause is lack of rest. Do try working out by lots of rest and see if that helps any.
I hope this helps. All the best.
