Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
terrible headache , sinus problem, feels like toothache also(went to dentist this afternoon). did xrays but all looked fine. Pain in back of neck. meds haven' t given much relief.. What do you suggest? Soak in tub,hot or cold on forward or neck .Taking Augmentin .
As per your complain it seems like you are suffering from sinus infection or sinusitis and it is the cause for headache and pain in teeth.. As the sinus floor are preset close to upper teeth, therefore inflammation of sinuses can cause pain in upper teeth..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room.. You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline.. Avoid spicy and chilled foods.. Do warm compresses around nostrils..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards..
