Few measures which may help with sinusitis and sinusitis related headaches:
1. Rinse the nasal sinuses by pulling the water through the nares regularly with clean water or saline preparation, this will help get the deposited material in the sinus inducing inflammation to come out and thus reduce the inflammation in the sinus.
2. The sinusitis may sometimes get converted into a bacterial infection and thus taking penicillin antibiotic for 10days may be helpful after consulting the doctor (considering the allergy profile).
3. Hydration (drinking enough water, 2.5-3L per day) in an healthy adult helps in thinning the mucus and letting the mucus stuck in the paranasal sinuses come out easily.
4. Mucolytics like Ambroxol can be helpful in breaking the mucus and thus easy drainage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
