How Can Severe Itching Behind The Neck Be Treated?

I have an emergency, a few days ago something came out on my head near my neck, under my hair, which itched and bothered me a lot and with the days it gets worse. I would like to know the care I need to take and if it is possible that it is a hair fungus

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your treating [dermatologist] and do a [Patch testing] to know exact cause of your problem.

2)Discuss with your treating Doctor about [levocetirizine]for itching.

3)Try to expose the area to sunlight every day for 30 mins and take prescribed medications as per skin tests only.

Do take few lifestyle modifications like this -

1)Try to take shorter baths or showers. Limit your baths and showers to 10 to 15 minutes. And use warm, rather than hot, water. Bath oil also may be helpful.

2)Try to use non soap cleansers or gentle soaps. Choose fragrance-free non soap cleansers or mild soaps. Some soaps can dry your skin.

3)Try to dry yourself carefully. After bathing, brush your skin rapidly with the palms of your hands, or gently pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

4)Try to moisturize your skin. While your skin is still damp, seal in moisture with an oil or cream. Try different products to find one that works for you.

Hope that helps
