Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Severe Itching Due To Fungal Skin Infection Be Treated?
I have fungus infection problem, I never control myself to itching particular places. I have used allopathic medicine also, but it gives me only for two weeks free from itching. After that same itching problem... Due to allopathic medicine I loosing my hair(side effects). I have this problem about 2 years. Is there any solution for my problem without side effects.
I suggest you to do a culture of fungi which identifies which organism is responsible for the infection: To find out the source of infection and to select the most suitable treatment. According the result you can use a topical antifungal for 4 weeks More serious cases, and infections in the scalp, can require oral antifungal pills.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
