How Can Severe Itching In The Body Be Treated?

Hello doctor my name is sadiq im 21 yrs old male, 47kg weight and 166 cm height. I had an itching problem all over my body especially when im exposed to dust or heat or when i go under the sun, so i consult a doctor and she recommend some tests including total IgE and the IgE level was 245 which is high, so she gave me these drugs Tb Tancet-L and Tb Wysolone 10 both for 10 days and ask me to review after they finished and i did. there was a relief and so she said im gonna take the drugs for 6 months, and i ll be taking on the basis of 10 days and finish it then take another. So as i continue like that within 2 months i feel better and i dint know when i stop the medication. so the problem here is i started feeling itching yesterday and today but very mild, so am i to continue the two drugs or not? if yes for how many months? thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The best way of itching via allergy or allergen-induced condition is to avoid the object causing it.
* Secondary management with mast cell modifier medications as Monteleukast or others will help a bit more, I do not advise long term steroids as it may damage other body systems.

Would like to discuss further regarding the issue as per your need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
