How Can Severe Itching On The Back Be Treated?

I am experiencing a biting itch that will not go away on my back. It moves around to other llaces. It feels like bees stinging and itching and burning continueally. I see a Rhumatologist and take plaquinil. I have gone to urgent care twice a cortisone shot first. Dose pack next and no relief. I do not want to share my credit card info. Can I mail a check for my consult?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be a superficial fungal infection:

As a first line management, you can apply topical antifungal like clotrimazole for symptomatic relief. If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
