How Can Severe Pain After A Back Surgery Be Treated?
I just had back surgery. The dilaudid 4mg have taken 4 since 3:30pm has done absolutely nothing. I have 30mg morphine IR and 60mg morphine ER. Can I incorporate the morphine for any relief at all. Or go back to my pain management regiment of 2 /60mg ER morphine per day and upto 3 /30mg as needed.
You are already using a maximum dose of opioid medication.
Adding Pregabalin and Gabapentin may modify the pain.
Intravenous pain medications, epidural analgesia, spinal anaesthesia, nerve blocks may be given in severe cases.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
