How Can Severe Pain After A Posterior Spinal Cord Stroke Be Treated?

Hi my name is Nanette and I had a posterior spinal cord stroke 20 mos. ago. I have a severely narrowed artery at T2 artery to my spinal cord. In tremendous pain 24/7. I am planning a test with Prialt in the next three weeks. If it works I will go ahead with the Intrathecal pain pump. When using the pump will I be less tired from the oral drugs? Will I still feel euphoria?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
