How Can Severe Pain After Abdominal Surgeries Be Treated?
If I have been taking morphine for multiple years due to chronic pain & multiple abdominal surgeries. My dosages have been at times extreme. Now I don t feel as if I am getting any relief. It was suggested by a doctor to try methadone but I was hesitant. Is there there any thing I can try? After one survey i had dialysis and another oxycontin. Any suggestions?
Hello, Thanks for the query. You can try tramadol which is highly effective and can be safely used for longer duration. If all the routine pain killers fails, you can try ketamine sublingual preparation which is one of the strongest analgesic, but do have addictive properties thus can not be used for longer duration. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
