How Can Severe Pain After Total Knee Replacement Be Treated?

What is the best pain med for after total knee replacement? My husband had norco and Percocet and a pain pump but still had a lot of pain. He is going in for a revision on his knee next week and wants the pain to be under better control. We don t know what to do about it.

Hello,

He can try higher analgesic (painkiller) like hydrocodone or oxycodone for pain relief. The pain seems like more of a neuropathic pain and hence he can try drugs like gabapentin also.
