How Can Severe Pain And Swelling In The Wrist Be Treated?

I am a 29 yr old male, healthy, a golfer and a professional, one day I woke up with pain in my wrist with some swelling, it has moved through my joints, I am in pain, can no longer golf and I have tested negative for Lyme disease, negative for arthritis, negative for lupus, my CRP is elevated to 75, my ESR is elevated to 27 and my platelet count is 501, I was told is was a virus and no intervention is necessary,,,I am icing and in considerable pain, I am wondering if a series of steroids might help me feel better,,,all my other labs are normal, should I see a rheumatologist, or just wait for 2 more weeks as I was told to do,,,this has been going on for about 6 weeks already,,,,just want your opinion, I saw a DO,
