How Can Severe Pain And Weakness In The Knees Be Treated?

Hi, I have had both knees replaced. 35 years ago and one 30 years ago. Never have I had a problem. The other day I awoke and all my joints hurt. I thought I was getting the flue. I was not. The next day the joints were all but well. The muscles in my knees are still sore and week. I need to use my arms to help my office chair. For the past several years I have gone to the gym 3 to 4 times most weeks. Riding a bike and doing weight training. Now when I walk the muscles some times hurt and feel heavy. What is going on?

2)For pain you can discuss with your treating Doctor about [Colchicine]in low dose.

Follow few preventive steps before taking any medications -

1)Try to Keep your fluid intake high. Stay well-hydrated, including plenty of water.

2)Try to limit or avoid alcohol.

3)Get your protein from low-fat dairy products.

4)Try to limit your intake of meat, fish and poultry. A small amount may be tolerable, but pay close attention to what types and how much seem to cause problems for you.

5)Try to maintain a desirable body weight. Choose portions that allow you to maintain a healthy weight.

Hope that helps
