Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Severe Pain Due To Nerve Damage Be Treated?
Due to a work injury, I suffer from chronic constant pain from nerve damage, in my left side. My neurologist prescribes, gabapentin, and clonidine. I cannot afford the treatment or prescriptions any longer. I cannot work, drive, or function normally with the prescriptions. I would prefer to a natural source over chemical prescriptions! Is there a natural source that can be helpful with nerve pain? Also, that can help with sleeping and anxiety? Any natural source for hypothyroidism too!
I recommend to use a vitamin B supplement, especially vitamin B-1, which is also known as thiamine. It's thought to reduce pain and inflammation levels and prevent cellular damage. I also recommend using valerian root or chamomile as tea. Acupuncture can also be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
